Our curriculum
Along with our journey of launching BLISKO, we were engaged in creating our curriculum - “BLISKO Way”, where we combine the essences of various sources of our inspiration. By discovering marvelous books, collaborating with our Advisory Board, talking with other educators from all over the world, we began to feel the need to create a place where human potential would be discovered from the very beginning. Our framework also respects the ‘100 languages of children’ – the idea originating from Loris Malaguzzi that children express themselves in 100 different ways.
We see Teachers as a conscious leader, who perceives the child as a "knowledge carrier" and unlimited potential. Daily observations of the natural, unbounded desire to explore the world show that children are able to construct their own knowledge by interacting with other children, adults, and the environment while engaging all their senses. It's a wonderful process of triggering human intelligence and releasing human potential.
Neuroeducation
The foundations of the “Wonderful Ideas” curriculum are based on the latest research of scientists in the field of neuroscience. We know that children's brains are designed to naturally learn and develop. The role of adults is to support this process, a natural desire to discover and explore the world, not to limit their learning process through imposed standards. In the Reggio Emilia approach, the child is encouraged to communicate and learn in their 100 languages.
Image of the child
We believe that every child is a strong, kind, curious human capable of learning and creation. Every child’s curiosity is nurtured with love and respect.
Children play in groups of different age, they have access to different materials and provocations. They develop independence and a sense of respect for their own work and for others.
We are inspired by NVC principles: lack of penalties and rewards is a space for studying motives of a child's actions, which oftenresult from the emotions they are experiencing. We allow children to learn cooperation in a casual atmosphere, shape forgiveness and resolve conflicts in the empathic way .
Environment as a third teacher
Interiors filled with natural light make the space quieter, give children a sense of security and warmth. Toys are made of recyclable and nature-friendly materials - in this way we can support the Earth and from a young age trigger a sense of integrity with the environment and responsibility for the sorroundings.
Discovering and nurturing children's relationships with nature invites them to admire, explore, touch, and learn. The interpenetration of space introduces the experience of fluidity and plasticity of reality. Thanks to this, the child feels harmony with the environment.
A day from our nurseries’ life inspired by our curriculum
Usually, we start the day with outdoor activities. Then we spend time together in our classroom (atelier), where children can choose from various play stations offering both quiet and busy activities: a play table with sand, a play table with water, puppets, a book corner, a play station with blocks.
It is time to play with other children, to play with various objects and materials, to discover what makes things work, to make mistakes, to create, to stimulate the imagination.
Parents and teachers work together: they talk using NVC principles and draw inspiration from intimacy parenting. They share their observations with each other and build and adapt the program together.
